Recently it's getting hot and I feel like I don't want to eat anything.

But curry is an exception.

We have various taste of curry, and this time I tried Indonesian curry.

I got Huge Sake bottle!!

Actually,It is "distilled spirit" we called "Shochu"

Sake = Rice wine

Bathing in water mixed with sake is thought to be very healthy.

Shochu is distilled alcohol made most commonly from sweet potato or barley and often has a strong aroma.

Also we have many kind of beer and cocktail at our cafe !

Hello everyone

Here's Mohamed from Sakura Hotel Hatagaya (^_^)/

Do you like the Japanese popular meal .. Sushi ?

Actually when i came to Japan in the beginning i wasn't like it.

i never ate raw fish before coming to Japan .. Also that hot sauce (Wasabi) , it's hotness isn't similar the chilli pepper.

But now , i like Sushi very very much & i can't eat it with out Wasabi

Last week i went to take my dinner at Sushi restaurant

It was cheap & also there was many kinds of it

because i love the Sushi .. every time i eating a lot , lol

There are a lot of sushi restaurants in Shinjuku area.

If you want to know how to find them .. Please ask the staff at any time & we'll recommend the best for you

Though we already have 3 kinds of cocktail menu in Sakura Cafe Hatagaya,

we went to a bar in Asakusa yesterday.

ALL 500 YEN MENU!

With Maiko , Sakura Hotel Ikebukuro staff,

I went to the bar in Asakusa, at 8:00PM.

This special item is 'light cube' for cocktail, to make it more romantic!

I borrowed it from a bartender:)

Soooo beautiful!

Since Maiko had a friend working in this bar,

he (bartender) told us how to shake the shaker, making cocktail,

and his original cocktail!!

It was very interesting for me to watch 'making cocktails' by a bartender.

Behold! The new cafe counter! / Sakura Hotel Hatagaya

Good evening! This is Jonathan at the Sakura Hotel Hatagaya.

For the past few days, the staff here has been running the hotel as carpenters and electricians worked to remodel our front desk and cafe counter. The front is still not quite finished, but the cafe is almost done!

As we get used to the new layout, we will be able to provide faster drink service. Thank you to our regular customers who have continued to visit us in the midst of construction.

We have changed our cafe desk layout, but otherwise we are the same old Sakura Cafe, offering reasonably priced drinks and food from Japan and all over the world, with a great atmosphere for study or relaxation. We hope we will see you soon!

Today we had some spring rain. In the spring season, practically everywhere you go in Japan there are people viewing the beautiful cherry blossoms that are blooming now.

Here at the Sakura Hotel, we are welcoming spring, and changing the atmosphere at our hotel a little, by remodeling the front desk, cafe desk, as well as the cafe area.

Good evening! This is Jonathan from the Sakura Hotel Hatagaya.

I have been living in Japan for about 7 years, but I haven't been here in the Kanto Region for that entire time. I lived in a lovely rural town for quite a long time. Now, rural areas have their good things, and their problems. For a coffee lover like me, one of those problems (or inconveniences if you will) was the scarcity of good coffee shops.

Having moved to this area, where coffee shops are in abundance, I feel that my coffee life is well fulfilled. My face is already well known at coffee shops in the city I'm living in, and even when I'm wandering about in Tokyo I like to take the occasional breather with a cup or two. There are many good coffee shops in Shinjuku, a mere stones throw from our hotel in Hatagaya, although my personal favourite shops are located around the New South Exit of Shinjuku Station. It's worth noting that this area also features Takashimaya Times Square, a nifty shopping complex that I would recommend anyone visit.

If there could be said to be any problem, it is that the price can be a little high. On top of that, for those who have been kind enough to stay at our hotel, going on a mini-journey for coffee isn't exactly appealing either. However, here at Sakura Cafe Hatagaya, we offer coffee at a very reasonable price. You can get a regular size coiffee for only ￥190, and we also offer bottomless coffee (as well as some other drinks) with our all-you-can-eat-breakfast, for a low price of only ￥350!

I would describe our coffee as both mild and smooth. You don't even have to stay with us to enjoy it. I recommend our cafe to anyone looking for a quiet place to enjoy a nice cup of coffee while they study or read or whatever. We hope to see you soon!

You know, in Omotesando (near Harajuku ), there are many kinds of Pan Cake Shop!?

One of them is 'Eggs'n Things', I've ever eat it in Hawaii and in Omotesando (last year).

Other shop is, 'bills'.

I gone there last week with my friend.

It was quite expensive for me, but the taste was really really great!!

But today, I want to show you beautiful flower which decorated at Sakura Hotel Hatagaya.

Isn't it so beautiful?

I thought it's imitation when I see it first time from distance.

But it's real.

It' still cold in Tokyo. But I feel spring when I found this flower.

You also can enjoy beer while seeing flowers.

レシピを先に見たけど,

なんか材料が多い（汗）と思って少し心配したけど,,,

先輩の教えですぐ出来ました！！

Today, I made this for lunch first time.

どうですか？？美味しそうじゃないですか？　（笑）

How do you think the taste of this??

It seems to be sooo yummy dish, doesn't it??

量もすごい多いです！！

中に色んな種類が入ってますよ！食べるのも楽しいですよ！！

私はソースがすごーーーーーーーーい美味しかったんです！！

何かどこで食べたことありそうな味だけど。。。。。。

美味しかったんです！！

The volume was so large for me!!

My stomach was really full of Kosyari:)

Many kinds of ingredients made me so happy!!

I thought that I've already ate this kind of taste before?

I am Kyara Coedo from brewery in Saitama prefecture.

My home town, Kawagoe in Saitama prefecture is used to say "Edo's kitchen", during Edo ear.

Coedo means small Edo.

Welsh cakes are Traditional Welsh snacks.

Have you tried it before??

Welsh cakes are made from flour, sultanas, raisins, and/or currants, and may also include such spices as cinnamon and nutmeg. They are roughly circular, a couple of inches (4-6 cm) in diameter and about half an inch (1-1.5 cm) thick.

Ms.Linsey Davis (U.K) taught us how to make it!

This receipe from her grand mother secret recipe!!

We will start Chinese New year'sLunch from 3rd Feb!

This is dōngpōròu from China.

(Its made of thick cubes of Pork belly simmered in Soy sause, sugar and Alcohol.

By cooking it for a long time over a low temperature the collagen breaks-down into gelatin keeping the meat moist while becoming extremely tender allowing it to be consumed with chopsticks easily. )

Ms,Koh taught us how to make it.

She learned this dish from her Mom.

Today I introduce you that what Mohamed made to us for 'lunch menu in Sakura Cafe Hatagaya' next week♪

This is ' ????　(pronounciation: Koshali''♪

One of the major fast food in Egypt.

The ingredients are, 'Thailand rice, peppers, garlic, Egyptian special spices, chickpea, lentil, vinegar, tomato, and so on.

(Other details are secret:) )☆彡

These are 5 layers to make it.

Rice, macaroni, chickpea, lentils are on the plate.

The special tomato sauce dive into the dish, and finished！

We could have 'party time' with this special home-made food from Mohamed♪

He did major debut this year.

Organic Radish Pickles debut from Aomori (Tohoku Farm)

What do you guess this vegetable is??

The answer is not 'sweet potato' but....

It's organic 'Red Radish' ,

grew up in Tohoku Farm in Aomori.

The farm mainly grow up only organic vegetables and eggs.

This is 'Benishin Daikon =rose-color radish

Inside the radish is bellow, looks like 'peach' doesn't it!?

Then this cube-shaped one is 'Seigoin Daikon =seigoin radish'.

There are 2 colors, white and green inside:)

You can feel more soft than others.

So I made them 'radish pickles' for new menu of Sakura Cafe Hatagaya.

These 3 kinds of radish have the different taste:)

You can feel various kinds of 'bitterness' and 'sweetness' and the colorful visual.

Hello all. My name is Yutaka Tamura, a new trainee at Sakura

Hotel Hatagaya.

Do you know what day it is today in Japan？.

It is "Hotel'ｓ Day" today.

It is named after the date of Imperial Hotel's opening date in 1890.

The hotel was built as a national undertaking at the initiative of

Kaoru Inoue, foreign minister at that time.

The picture above is the first Imperial Hotel.

Also, Nov. 20th is the day for "Pizza".

In 1889, Margherita, the Italian princess of the day, desired a piece

of "Pizza" which was trendy food back in those days. Pizza makers

in Naples then made a Pizza with White (mozzarella cheese), Green

(basil) and Red (tomato sauce) in the motif of Italian national flag.

That was the origin of "Pizza Margherita".

Anyway, it is the day for "Hotel" and "Pizza".　So why

don't you enjoy　"Pizza" at our Sakura Cafe Hatagaya,

Macoroni cheese is my memory of campus life in U.S.A.

Hi everyone .. Here's Mohamed 8=(*,*)=8

Today I am gonna introduce one of my favorite country's MEAL ..

It's called Roz Mix & Roz means Rise in Arabic Language :)

Actually some of the Egyptian people used to eat this meal when they have a special ceremonies or in the festivals

Roz Mix components is:

Rise - Chicken Liver & Kidney - Egyptian Spices - Butter - Oil

In Egypt we normally use Spices in any meals .. also there's many many kinds of spices

But on Roz Mix I used only 6 kinds of this Egyptian spices (^?^)

★ First .. Cut both the Chicken Liver & kidneys in to small pieces & add the spices to each one separately

★ Put each one in different frying pan & heat on it with the Butter until it get ready for eating

★ Also get ready for the Rise with the amount that you want but be sure to add the spices also to the Rise & a little amount of Oil ?

★ Then add both the Chicken Liver & Kidneys that you cooked to the Rise & mix them

Now its Ready for eating ... Hmmm

November 1^st is the day of black tea in Japan.

On November 1^st in 1791, one Japanese man who drifted to Russia due to storm invited to a tea party hosted by Catherine II.

It is said that it's first time for Japanese to drink black tea.

Now drinking black tea is natural for Japanese.

At Sakura Cafe Hatagaya, there are 15 kinds of tea bags on the table during breakfast time (from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m.).

It means that there are 105 possible combinations if you try to mix 2 tea bags out of 15.

We, Sakura Cafe Hatagaya, have some menues of Organic food & dessert.

One of them is, Special egg pudding @800 yen (with one drink) bellow.

Hi everyone .. This Mohamed from Sakura Hotel Hatagaya

Did you guys like the Japanese Natto (^_-) ?!!

I just heard that even the Japanese people there are who like it and some others don't like it ?

Actually when I came from 3 years to Japan , I wasn't like the Natto because of its appearance & smell

But NOW ... I like it so much & I eat it at any time on the day .. Also I eat it by many ways my favorite way is with the Rice but I sometimes spread it over the bread & get it heated by the microwave ^_^

This was my yesterday's dinner .. Natto is always Delicious (?_?)

How do you drink coffee in your country?

Now, we are collecting the coffee from all over the world.

I will show you some interesting coffee today.

This is Lemon coffee form Hongkong.

you might familiar with lemon tea. But this is lemon coffee.

I was surprised that better taste of coffee and sour of lemon taste very match.

Next is Ginger coffee from Thai

Ginger and caffeine? You might surprised.

It has really strong ginger taste.

In Japan, ginger drink is getting popular now, like ginger milk, ginger tea and so on.

However this is my first time to hear coffee with ginger.

Ginger coffee looks normal coffee.

BUT! taste is not normal!

It is really GINGER!

Yes! We put many ginger on it!

Can you imagine the taste?

It tried it today. And it is really tasty. Strong corn taste is best match to ice cream.

If you are in Japan, please try it. You can buy it any super market and convenience store.

Unfortunately, we don't have corn potage ice cream at Sakura Cafe.

However, our morning is included corn potage soup occasionally.

Hello, All.

How do you like to eat Sushi?

Wasabi? Soysauce? Kechap? Chili sauce? Cream?

Me?

I got this sushi for lunch today.

It comes with Lemon and Salt!

This is my first time to see Sushi with salt and lemon,

However, it is really tasty!!!!

Sometimes soysauce is too strong and so does wasabi.

But salt and lemon really match to fresh fish.

I really love it! I think I will eat it for next two weeks. Because one I'm in love it I am tend to eat it everyday. hehhehe.

Oh... and don't forget about our new Turkish drink Ayran, which also use lemon and salt.

Basically, Japanese style yogurt drink is sweet with a lot of suger.

But Ayran is not sweet.

This is Mr. Mat with cool haircut.

One-coin festival is over now!! It was so much fun!!

What kind of color is this? What kind of syrup is that? might be your first question right after seeing this picture, well....

There ismany coffee menus at Sakura Cafe Hatagaya.

Even the same coffee has slightly different drink.

Did you know the difference?

Cafe au lait

The cafe au lait mixed general coffee with milk.

Caffe latte

The thing which the espresso of the involvement roast was used for caffe latte, and installed milk put in there.

Cappuccino

We use the espresso of the involvement roast for cappuccino and pour beating milk.

Design Festa in Harajuku!!!

Hello everyone!

Same as Peter, I went to Design Festa Gallery, Sakuratei and DF cafe yesterday!

I like abstract galleries and potteries (ceramic ware) so I was so excited to see these:

When I was approching the Sakuratei, I could smell the okonomiyaki!

The staffs there were so nice and made a large cup of hot chocolate milk for me! See!

You can realize the cup is from the gallery! ^^

And here is one of the nice staffs---Miss Hamada-san!

I will definitely visit there again! (with my friends! )
