Hello.

My name is Riko Oshima .(Left side)

I just sarted to work here in Sakura Hotel Hatagaya from today.

Before I came here,I was in Sakura Hotel Jimbocho.

Let me introduce myself ;)

I was born in Hiratsuka city .

here are the things that I like to do .

I love traveling ,watching movies,and CATS.

Last Febuary I went to 6 countries in Europe.

Most favorite city was Amsterdam!!!!!

It was awesome;)

and also in Asia area ,love Thailand .

About the movies,I love Forrest gump;)

Do you have any plan to visit Japan on May 21^st this year?

If so, you have a chance to observe annular solar eclipse.

Annular solar eclipse will be observed over a large region such as Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya on May 21^st 2012.

It will be the first time in 25 years in Japan and the first time in 173 years in Tokyo.

In Tokyo, we can observe it between 7:32 a.m. and 7:37 a.m.

I hope there will not be a cloud in the sky on May 21^st 2012.

I went to Tokyo Big Sight to see Design Festa last weekend.

A lot of cosplayers joined here to perform their cosplay.

This is a kind of art!

Sonntagspaziergang

Da das Wetter am Sonntag endlich mal wieder warm und sonnig war, habe ich zur Feier des Tages etwas gewagt, was ich sonst möglichst vermeide: Einen Spaziergang durch Shibuya am Wochenende. ;)

Hier ein paar Eindrücke:

Menschen, Menschen und noch mehr Menschen. Natürlich wusste ich vorher, dass ich in Shibuya nicht allein durch die Straßen wandern würde, aber dieser Andrang hat mich dann doch etwas überrascht. Auf der Omotesando türmten sich die Autos fast übereinander, und die Menschenmassen auf den Bürgersteigen erinnerten glatt an den Tokyo Marathon.

Einer der Gründe hierfür war sicherlich das neue "Tokyu Plaza Omotesando Harajuku" Einkaufszentrum, liebevoll "Omohara" abgekürzt, das im April dieses Jahres Eröffnung feierte. Das Gebäude ist schon sehr beeindruckend von außen, mit dem verspiegelten Eingangsbereich und der grünen Dachterrasse. Einen Blick ins Innere habe ich mir angesichts der ganzen Leute dann vorerst aber doch verkniffen. ;)

Eine Demo für bessere Kindererziehungsbedingungen fand an dem Nachmittag auch gerade statt, aber die fiel eher spärlich aus, und war ganz offenbar nicht der Grund für den Menschanauflauf ringsrum.

Der kleine ältere Herr mit seiner riesigen Dogge zog da schon mehr Neugierige an.

Der Crêpestand war erwartungsgemäß auch völlig überlaufen, und da ich ohnehin noch verabredet war, fand mein Sonntagsspaziergang ein etwas abruptes Ende. Aber ein interessanter Nachmittag war es in jedem Fall. :)

I went for a walk around my neighbourhood this morning. Spring in Japan is so beautiful! Summers are hot and humind, so people prefer to stay inside air-conditioned rooms but during spring the weather is just perfect. We've had a couple of warm and sunny days lately, so flowers are blooming everywhere. Here are a few pictures I took.

Azaleas and all kinds of flowers are blooming everywhere!

I love Japanese temple gardens.

I really hope the good weather continues for a while. ^^

Hamarikyu will open from 8:00 a.m. in this summer.

Hamarikyu, one of Japanese gardens in Tokyo, will open from 8 a.m. or an hour earlier than usual between July 14th 2012 and August 19th 2012.

Be forewarned that there are two gates and only Ootemon gate will be open from 8 a.m.

The garden is 7 minutes walk away from Tsukiji-shijyo station (Toei oedo line).

If you have any plan to visit Tsukiji fish market early in the morning in the period, how about visiting Hamarikyu?

I's memorialize that ice cream produces and sold first time in Japan on May 9th, 1869.

The season became warm day by day,ice cream is delicious.

We have almost all countries' but some countries are not ready.

So I am triyng to remake national flag cards.

These sheets cover 195 countries over the world.

In addition I made Hongkong,Macau,South Sudan(became independent recently),

Palestine and Kosovo.

Myanmar has changes it's flag design on Oct.2010.

Africa occupies one fourth of 200 countries.

There are 56 countries in the continent.

New Welsh Cakes

It's this time of the month again!!

Time to announce our May Welsh Cakes at Sakura Cafe Hatagaya!

We even prepared two new flavors this month...

This is Sariko eating (and obviously loving) the new Cinnamon Welsh Cakes.

Look at her surprised face! She said she couldn't believe how delicious they were. ^^

Of course we also sell our standard Plain and Cocoa ones.

But we also tried something different this month. What do you think is the second new flavor? It's really hard to tell by the color. They almost look like the plain ones, maybe a shade darker.

But they taste very different.

The other ingredient is a spice as well...

It's Chili!!

Very experimental, but we like to try different things, so we thought why not?

I'll inform you this convenient apprication to search about flowers.

It is, 'Hanashirabe　花しらべ'.

This apprication is very useful to find out the name, and much information of the flowers.

Just taking photos with your iphone, or iPad, and search with 'Hanashirabe', you will easily find out what the flower is!

(Hanashirabe has 1700 kinds of flowers for searching)

During I went to Sakura Cafe Hatagaya, took these flowers with my iPhone, even if I might know these flowers are!
