I love "Japanese curry", many friends from many countries, too!

Today, let me introduce how to cook Japanese curry.
It's easy to cook! Please try it!

INGREDIENTS
- Potato - Carrot - Onion - water
- Meat ( beef, chicken, pork, whatever you want)
- Japanese curry roux like the upper pic
( you can find it at japanese or chinese glossary.
we have a lot of products, so you can chose what you try.
But you need to chose japanese curry roux )

 


Let's start cooking!!



Cut vegetables.

Saute meat.


 
Add vegetables in the pan & Saute them.

Add water in the pan.
Simmer the ingredients.

Add curry roux.
Simmer the curry.

 
Serve curry and steamed rice!

Anyone who have ever visited Kamakura once before, saw this great sacred Ginkgo Tree, including me.

The historical Great Ginkfo Tree which height of 30 meters and measured 6.8 meters in circumference , stood there and watched over people visit the shrine over 800 year to 1000 years. (Estimate)

Wish we could see it again!!

Generally speaking, March is considered as spring in Japan.

But these days, Tokyo is very cold. And today, it was snowing!!

Snow in march is uncommon and so unprepared pedestrians slipped so often.

Fortunately, this coldness will be end on 12th of March, or so weather forecast said.

There is an east asian word, "sankan-sion", it means a cycle of three cold days followed by four warm ones, and this kind of cycle is a sign of coming spring.

Even though today is cold, surely spring is coming to Tokyo. :-)

一般的に日本では3月は春だとされています。

ですが最近の東京は寒いです。今日は雪が積もりました！

東京にも時に雪は降りますが、三月の雪は珍しく、足を滑らせる通行人も見かけました。

幸い天気予報によるとこの雪は12日頃には止みそうです。

三寒四温という諺があるように、今日は寒くとも春は確かに近づいています。

Go to Odaiba district at around 18:00. You can get to see fantastic night view of Tokyo city and the Raibow Bridge that spans Tokyo bay. There is a park called Odaiba Kaihin Koen by the bay and this is the best place to enjoy vibrant night view of central Tokyo!

Kabukicho - an entertainment and red-light district in Shinjuku.
Kabukicho is the location of many host and hostess bars, shops, restaurants, nightclubs, and is often refer as the "Sleepless Town". 


 

Omoide-yoko-cho - the most direct route between the east and west side of Shinjuku Station, Omoide Yokocho is flooded with people where the local delicacy "Yakitori" (grilled chicken on skewers) and Japanese rice wine "Sake" are served by many compact stalls.
It is the best place to experience a lively but friendly atmosphere in Japanese style.

3 min. (by train) or 40 min. walk from our hotel.

Please try this nightly walk :)
And you might feel the "Lost in Translation" there :)

This was my first time to watch the real game alive!!!

My camera is not so good..., but there are many Sumo restler making circle on the stage!

It is fun to look for many many hand stamps displayed on the road in Ryogoku town, like this (this is a hand of Wakanohana, a restler) .

Sumo practice rooms are also located in several spots in Ryogoku.

This is real Mawashi(wear of SUMO restler) desplayed in the musium of Ryogoku National Musium. People can enter here for free!

"HANAMI" in Tokyo usually goes in the end of March in the beginning of April.

It strolls, and the feast is done while seeing the full-blown flower.

However, I like to see cherry blossoms that bloom at still a little cold time. Location of the cherry in Yoyogi Park near from Sakura-Hotel-Hatagaya blooms by a kind of the cherry named [KAN-HI-ZAKURA] in the end of February.

Anyway, please go out to enjoying seeing cherry blossom "HANAMI" when you come to Tokyo at this time. It is possible to walk from the Sakura-Hotel-Hatagaya in Yoyogi-Park.

I'm sorry by poor English.

If you visit Japan between the end of March and around April 10^th, there is a great chance to experience the beauty of sakura trees being in full bloom! 

Here are some sites you might want to consider visiting in spring....

Imperial Palace;

If you are a couple or travelling with family/friends you might want to hire a boat to enjoy Hanami from the pond. It is an absolutely breath-taking experience!

Ueno Park;

Being popular tourist destination in downtown Tokyo (Shitamachi), it is really romantic to see approximately 1,200 sakura trees being in full bloom in this spacious park. Walk through the streets filled with food stalls under sakura trees whilst enjoying the friendly atmosphere of Shitamachi Tokyo!!

Don`t miss to enjoy Hanami in the evening too, sakura trees being beautifully lit up by lights. You get to see local crowds sitting down on picnic mats, enjoying themselves eating food and drinking sake until late night!
