I'd like to show you, the Australian Ale "COOPERS RED and COOPERS GREEN"!!!
Have you ever tried "Ale"? it tastes like Beer, but Absolutely different!!
color is not clear, yeast is still alive in it (which is dead in Beer),
and it gives Ale amazing fruity flavor and after-taste....
absolutely standing out from ordinary beers.... worth a Try!!
RED is for Ale lover as it has strong flavor, and GREEN is for first-timer as it has mild taste :)

Kamakura is a city close to the sea about an hour away from Tokyo.
It's famous for its many shrines and temples, and a big Buddha statue, the Kamakura Daibutsu. Kamakura is usually flooded with tourists, because it's just beautiful and perfect for day trips from Tokyo. It's definitely one of my favorite places in Japan.
One of the reasons I like Kamakura so much is because they sell icecream with sweet potato flavor there. Sounds like a weird combination, but it's really tasty!
When I went last week the weather was just perfect, sunny but not too hot.
Here are some photos I took while walking around the town!
This is Tsurugaoka Hachimangû, a famous Shintô Shrine right in the center of the city.
Komachidoori is a long street with many souvenir shops and restaurants.
There's a Ghibli Store there as well.
Sweet Potato Icecream (the purple one). I forgot to take a picture of the real thing because it tasted so good that I didn't even think about my camera. Maybe next time. ;)
There's still so much more to see in Kamakura. I'll definitely go again!
Our customers from China and Hong Kong this morning left with a sweet message. Thank you so much for your continuing support. The people of Japan appreciate your thoughts and prayers very much.
One of the guys also had a really cool pink camera. I've never seen a professional camera like this in any fashionable colors before. You scored some major style points with this one! Btw I also got to take a few photos with it. :)
Since we often receive inquiries from customers who ask us how to get from Hatagaya Station to Sakura Hotel Hatagaya, I made a little photo map. ^^
Leave through the ticket barrier. There is only one, so you can't miss it.
Pass the ticket vending machines and head for the stairs.
Take the stairs to your left (South Exit). Halfway up there is a 100 Yen Shop.
The stairs will lead you to this exit. There is a big bridge on your right side. Turn to the left, away from the bridge.
If you walk down the street a little further, you can see a big red sign on a roof top at the end of the street. There is also a Family Mart (convenience store) in the same building.
When you stand in front of the building with the big red sign, turn right.
Now you can see the Sakura Hotel sign.
Welcome!
It was just a two minute walk from the station. (^O^)
From June 1st, the annual illumination event in Tokyo Tower started. That is the Milky Way illumination. About 24,000 LED lights are used to resemble the Milky Way.
When it gets dark, illumination are reflected in the windows. And it looks like the Milky Way is floating across a night sky.
It will last until July 8th. Lighting time is between 17:00 and 22:00.
We added a new dish to our World Lunch menu this week!
A British guest told us this dish is very popular in the UK and kindly taught us the recipe. Originally it was introduced to the UK by immigrants from India.
I am talking about...
Masala Curry!
This curry is very mild. It is made with boiled chicken, yoghurt and whipping cream, so I am sure that even people who cannot eat hot food will love this dish.
You can have lunch at Sakura Cafe Hatagaya everyday between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Every set is 800 yen and comes with soup and coffee or tea.
When travelling abroad, I always to love to visit museums.
This one exhibition, I would not want you to miss!
Until June 17th (yes, only 9 days left!), at Mitsui Memorial Museum, the exhibition is celebrating the 250th anniversary of Hokusai's birth.
The exhibition allows you to explore over 160 pieces of Hokusai art including the famous The Thirty-six views of Mount Fuji.
Speaking of Japanese art, i would also like to introduce you Ms.Yayoi Kusama.
She is one of my favorite artists of all time. Well-known for her repeating dot patterns, her art encompasses an astonishing variety of media.
"The Flowers of Shangri-la" is one of my favorite piece of hers that can be seen at Kirishima Open-air Museum. If you ever get a chance to visit south of Kyushu Kagoshima, I suggest you to put this on your To-do list. The museum hold art pieces of would-famous artists including Isamu Noguchi and Yoko Ono.
Back to Tokyo.... if you are looking for some place to find some arty souvenir, Spiral in Aoyama is a great place to go.
Whoa! What a great picture no? I've always wished I could ride a horse...like him...
He sure rides like a cowboy, oh wait, he IS a cowboy!!!
And, I am proud to say, he is our new staff!
His name is Nao, he has lived in north of Queensland,Australia for 2 years working as a horse riding instructor. Obviously he rides horses like a champion, which already makes him so cool.
However, when he catches you with his big lovely smile, you would want to get to know him better.
Things he would like you to see in Japan is...
Our big TOKYO! This city has so many faces. Each area has its own uniqueness.
Our food! Please taste the REAL Japanese food!
Our culture. Meet our people, get to know us, and feel our culture!
Well, I asked him 5 words to describe himself. He listed....
Cowboy, Energetic, Big(he is so tall!), Adventurous, and Crazy(in a good way)!!!
At Sakura Hotel Hatagaya, he will welcome you with a big smile and a big heart.
It's already a second day of June, I think time has been passing faster than ever..?
In Japan, the rainy season is just around the corner and some people might be feeling sort of down, however I am very happy to inform you this news to you!!
One of our favorite guests at Sakura Hotel Hatagaya, Daniela-chan(in the middle), from Itary who has been here in Japan many times, wrote us the happiest comment on her facebook which reads;
'日本に帰りたい!(=I really come back to Japan!!)'☆
She wrote the message IN JAPANESE, including Kanji!
We went to Karaoke Box in Shinjuku.
I am sure it won't be too long until I see their pretty faces again!
