It comes from that "Yotsuya ghost story" was given the first public performance in Tokyo Nakamura Kabuki theater on July 26, 1825.
"Yotsuya ghost story" is the ghost story which is famous in Japan.
It is a general image that a Japanese ghost does not have a foot.
But why Japanese ghost have no foot?
