Arakawa traditional crafts fair

Are you interested in traditional Japanese craftworks?

If so, Arakawa traditionla craft fair is the one you want to see.

Over the 60 craftmen gathers there and you can see, buy and learn many kinds of Japanese traditonal crafts.

General cabinetwork, Buddhist altar making, bamboo baskets making, hairpin making, Yu-zen dyeing, doll making, blacksmithing, ivory curving, goldsmithing, scisssors making, paper lantern making and so on and so on!

The fair is hold on 17th, 18th and 19th Dec, at Arakawa Sougou Sports Center, from 10:00am to 5:00pm.

(Nearest station is Minami-senju Station, within 10 minutes walk from the station.)

Some craftmen teach you how to make their works and you yourself can actually try to make such crafts (Yu-zen dyeing, doll making, wood curving etc.).

Caution: This fair is not specifically targeted at foreigners.

So, bringing basic Japanese language book with you will be helpful.
