July 9th and 10th, Houzuki-ichi (=Japanese lantern plant sale) is held in Asakusa.
This ivent is held in every 9th and 10th of July in Sensouji shrine in Asakusa.
Many people look them, and buy for their suvenior or decoration for Bon Festival.
I feel the early summer has come, when I saw the people bringing the plant!

Hi Miwa San,
My family and I(10 pax) plan to go Tokyo somewhere in December 2010, have interest to book Sakura Hotel Hatagaya from the web, would like to know more about Tokyo. Could you tell me :
1. What is the total travel time if we want to go to Disneyland and how to go there?
2. How far (travel time) if we travel from the hotel to kyoto and Nara?
3. Could you suggest some of the place of interest in Tokyo?
Thanks and Regards

Dear Mary Yeo-san!
Thank you your your inquiry of our hotel!
I will reply to your questions.
1. It takes for about 50 minutes from Sakura Hotel Hatagaya to Tokyo Disney Resort.
access is here. Sakura Hotel Hatagaya (use Keio-new Line bound for Motoyawata, local line) to Ichigaya station. Ichigaya(use tokyo metro yurakucho line) to shinkiba station. Shinkiba (use JR KEIYO line) to Maihama station. Maihama is very close to there!
2.From Sakura Hotel to Tokyo station, it takes 30minutes by Keio-new line(to Shinjuku) and JR Chuo-line(to Tokyo station).
From Tokyo to Kyoto, it takes about 2 hours 30 minutes by Shinkansen Line.
From Tokyo to Nara, it takes about 3 hours 30 minutes by Shinkansen Line and JR MIYAKO line.
3.I recommend to go Asakusa (traditional Japanese town) and Tsukiji Fish Market (to watch tuna auction in early in the morning, and eat fresh fish and sushi), Harajuku and Shibuya for shopping, and to watch Meiji Jingu Shrine.
Tokyo Disney Land Is the best!
Please enjoy your tokyo stay!!
Sincerely yours,
Miwa Arai(ms.)
